Exhibition “Zeich(n)en der Zeit”
Because our project Alphabet of Arrival was so successful, we continue to remain active in the field of comics journalism. In celebration of the 18th International Comic Salon in Erlangen (May 31 to June 3), two of our members, Nathalie Frank and Lilian Pithan, have helped curate an exhibition on the topic. As part of “Zeich(n)en der Zeit – Comic-Reporter unterwegs”, individual artists and projects from the field of international comics journalism are presented.
The artists who are represented by originals include Joe Sacco, Guy Delisle, Olivier Kugler, Bo Soremsky, Viktoria Lomasko and Ulli Lust. Furthermore, reproductions and films by Carlos Spottorno and Guillermo Abril, Patrick Chappatte and Mazen Kerbaj are also being shown. Four international publications in the fields of comics and graphic journalism – La Revue Dessinée, The Nib, Alphabet des Ankommens und Drawing the Times – will also be presented.
The exhibition “Zeich(n)en der Zeit” can be visited at the Stadtmuseum Erlangen (Martin-Luther-Platz 9, 91054 Erlangen) starting May 27, 2018, and will continue until the end of August. During the Comic Salon, there will also be numerous accompanying events going on. Entrance is free with a Salon ticket!
