Stefan Neuhaus comics collection to be integrated into the Berlin State Library

Good news from the old building on Unter den Linden: On 14 October 2024, the chairman of the Friends of the Staatsbibliothek zu Berlin e.V., André Schmitz, the Director General of the Staatsbibliothek Prof. Dr Achim Bonte and Heidi Küttner-Neuhaus signed the contract to donate the Stefan Neuhaus comic collection to the Staatsbibliothek. Stefan’s daughter Merit Neuhaus, various representatives of the State Library and its circle of friends and Axel Halling for the German Comics Association were present.

After introductory words from the Director General, Heidi Küttner-Neuhaus presented several examples of comics from the collection of her husband, who died in 2022, to demonstrate the versatility of the collection and the medium of comics. Once the collection has been handed over and viewed, an official presentation event is planned for autumn 2025.
