Comic Expansion 2, 2024 – please check the documentary reader!
The second academic conference, “Comicexpansion: Perspectives on Comic Culture in Germany,” took place on September 27 and 28, 2024, at the Bochum Central Library. It was a cooperation of Deutscher Comic Verein, Literarisches Colloquium Berlin and Bochum Public Library, and was sponsored by Claudia Roth, the Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and the Media, and the Berthold Leibinger Foundation. The proceedings of the event are included in the Comicexpansion 2 Reader, which also contains a wealth of additional information and texts on the topic of comics and manga in Germany. We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who contributed to the event (organizers, speakers, and guests) and to the documentation (Pippo! Katharina!).
