{"id":2109,"date":"2019-12-05T21:08:51","date_gmt":"2019-12-05T19:08:51","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/deutscher-comicverein.de\/?p=2109"},"modified":"2021-06-12T14:24:47","modified_gmt":"2021-06-12T12:24:47","slug":"performance-with-mikael-ross","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/deutscher-comicverein.de\/?p=2109&lang=en","title":{"rendered":"Performance with Mikael Ross"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On the 27<sup>th<\/sup> of November 2019, the American Memorial Library, together with the German Comics Association, hosted a&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.zlb.de\/kalender-detail\/kalender\/event-der-umfall-graphic-novel-performance.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">graphic novel performance with Mikael Ross<\/a>. The artist presented his book, \u201cDer Umfall\u201d, and discussed the creative process and design of the book with Axel Halling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Told from the perspective of a young man with an intellectual disability,&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.mikaelross.com\/DER-UMFALL\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ross\u2019 book<\/a>&nbsp;uses strong, expressive colours to follow the protagonist as he settles in to a care facility. The story is based on research carried out in the Neuerkerode Lutheran Foundation.
