The increasingly authoritarian government and the economic crisis in Turkey are forcing many artists and publishers to leave their homeland. Many are now trying to gain a foothold in Berlin and find an audience for their works. The event provides insights into the diversity of Turkish comics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Guests include comic and manga publisher <strong>\u00d6zlem Gen\u00e7er<\/strong> and illustrator <strong>Oktay Gen\u00e7er<\/strong>, known under the name <strong>Oky<\/strong>, as well as cartoonist <strong>Memo Tembel\u00e7izer<\/strong> and author <strong>Bar\u0131\u015f Uygur<\/strong>, who both publish Turkish comics in German through their publishing house interdictum.
