Angoulême International Comics Festival 2020

From the 30th of January to the 2nd of February 2020, together with the Goethe-Institut Paris and the Erlangen Cultural Department, we presented a joint stand for German comics at the 47th International Comics Festival in Angoulême.

This year, the “Année de la BD”, the stand was an attraction for readers, artists and publishers. Around 120 titles from the last year were viewed with great interest. In particular our main guest, Mikael Ross, who recently published his well-received book “Der Umfall” in French, signed so many copies he barely managed to take a break. In a panel discussion, he spoke about his research on the comic and the scenic and artistic implementation of the work.

Aisha Franz, Sascha Hommer and Konstantin Potapov also provided autographs at the booth. Konstantin Potapov has been awarded a grant from the Berlin Senate and is currently artist-in-residence at the Cité internationale des arts in Paris.
