Toronto Comic Arts Festival

For the first time, various representatives from the German comics scene participated in the Toronto Comic Arts Festival (TCAF), the most important Canadian comics festival. Two book stands and three exhibitions were able to be presented thanks to the help of Berlin journalist and comics expert Lars von Törne and in cooperation with the Goethe-Institut Toronto, the German Comics Association, the Comic-Salon Erlangen and the University of Hannover (Professor Ulli Lust).

While the association showcased a selection of prints from current German comics, Anna Haifisch (“The Artist”) and Martina Schradi (“Ach, so ist das?”) presented their own current works at one of the exhibitions.
