Comics Workshop for Child Refugees

During the Berlin Easter holidays in 2016, the German Comics Association organised an art workshop for children from the refugee housing facility on Soorstraße with the help of the charity Kreuzberger Kinderstiftung. The event took place at the Youth Art School in Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf, which generously supported the project.

Course instructor Sebastian Lörscher (“Making Friends in Bangalore”) drew and experimented with different techniques together with participants, which at the end of the week-long course resulted in a small collection of comics about their experiences in Berlin.
